Punam Mathur Named to Women's Hall of Fame by Women's Chamber of Commerce of Nevada

Punam Mathur, MGM MIRAGE Senior Vice President of Diversity & Corporate Community Affairs, is one of 10 business leaders inducted this week into the Hall of Fame by the Women's Chamber of Commerce of Nevada.

On behalf of MGM MIRAGE, Mathur oversees the company's diversity initiative, as well as government affairs, community relations, corporate philanthropy and the MGM MIRAGE Voice Foundation.

During her tenure, MGM MIRAGE has received numerous accolades for its efforts in diversity and community affairs, including being named by Fortune Magazine as one of the "50 Best Companies for Minorities" in 2004. Recently, the company was recognized by Black Enterprise Magazine as one of the "Top 30" companies in the U.S. for embracing diversity.

This marks the second time that Mathur has been celebrated by the Women's Chamber of Commerce. In 2004, she received the organization's ATHENA Award, a prestigious international recognition that identifies individuals who have contributed to the success of women in leadership positions.

The mission of the Women's Hall of Fame is to publicly honor nominees and recipients of the ATHENA Awards for their achievements and to educate the public to ensure the continued achievements of women and young girls in Nevada. Photographs of the inductees will be displayed at the Women's Chamber of Commerce of Nevada.
