MGM Resorts to Hold Career Fair January 12-13

Las Vegas, Jan. 6, 2012 – Spend your summer working in a beautiful resort setting, having fun and earning money!

 

MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) will hold a “Fun in the Sun Career Fair” in Las Vegas on Thursday, Jan. 12, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 13, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. to fill 500 summer positions at its Las Vegas Strip resorts.

 

The event will be held at the MGM Resorts Career Center located at 4886 Frank Sinatra Dr. (just south of Rue de Monte Carlo), Las Vegas.

 

Prior to attending the Career Fair, job applicants must apply online for the positions at www.mgmresortscareers.comApplicants should bring one hard copy resume and a valid ID to the event.

 

“Jobseekers will have an opportunity to gain experience in some of the most exciting and well-known resorts in the world,” said Lori Calderon, MGM Resorts Director of Employment Operations. “Many of these positions will put the life into our Company’s award-winning pool and restaurant experiences.” 

 

The full- and part-time temporary jobs pay between minimum wage and about $15/hour, and include:

  • Buspersons
  • Cooks
  • Pantry Workers
  • Kitchen Helpers
  • Bartenders
  • Apprentice Bartenders
  • Cocktail Servers
  • Cabana Hosts
  • Pool Attendants
  • Lifeguards
  • Retail Cashiers

 

About half of the positions require work experience, while the other positions do not require experience. The length of employment will be approximately Feb. 28 through Oct. 31, 2012. The length of employment is dependant on business volumes.

The resorts where jobs will be offered during the MGM Resorts Career Fair include:   Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Luxor Excalibur, New York-New York, Monte Carlo, ARIA, Vdara, The Mirage and Circus Circus Las Vegas.
