October 20, 2006
Chefs Jeffrey Henderson and Erika Davis to Be Featured at Ebony Magazine's Taste of EBONY as Two of America's Leading Chefs

Two MGM MIRAGE executive chefs will showcase their talents at the Taste of EBONY, an event that celebrates the contributions of African-Americans in the culinary arts. Jeffrey Henderson, executive chef of Cafe Bellagio at the Bellagio Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Erika Davis, executive pastry chef of the newly-renovated Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi, will be featured chefs in New York on October 23, 2006.

The Taste of EBONY will highlight the talents of leading African-American chefs, restaurateurs and wineries in the U.S. It also aims to expose students to career opportunities in the culinary industry. Guests at the event will dine on special dishes prepared by the chefs. Henderson, who specializes in urban cuisine, will serve Maryland lump crab, collard greens and barbeque creme fraiche. Davis, who specializes in chocolate, will prepare a Bailey's milk chocolate crunch dessert.

Henderson joined Cafe Bellagio in 2004 as the executive sous chef and in just over two months, earned the executive chef title. Prior to joining Cafe Bellagio, Henderson held positions at restaurants in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Prior to joining Beau Rivage, Davis was the executive pastry chef at a leading hotel in Memphis.
