Judges laud MGM MIRAGE for employee training and 'culturally competent customer service'

MGM MIRAGE continues to earn high honors for the quality of its Diversity Initiative, including its most recent ranking on the prominent "2010 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity®" list.

MGM MIRAGE is the only company headquartered in Nevada, and the only gaming company in the United States to be recognized on the DiversityInc list for its commitment to diversity best practices.

DiversityInc judges said the MGM MIRAGE Diversity Initiative translates into excellence in customer service.

"MGM MIRAGE has a strong focus on diversity training to create an inclusive workplace, as well as culturally competent customer service," judges commented, and "this is one of the best companies anywhere at branding itself as a diversity leader."

The award was recently presented by DiversityInc Magazine at its sold-out annual awards dinner in Washington, D.C.

This year, a total of 449 companies vied for a spot on the "Top 50" list. MGM MIRAGE earned a spot on the "Top 50" among other prominent companies including General Mills, Time Warner Cable, and The Walt Disney Co.

MGM MIRAGE was previously named to the list in 2006, 2007 and 2009, and was commended by DiversityInc as a "Noteworthy Company" in its 2008 awards competition.
