LAS VEGAS, March 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- For one extraordinary night on March 22, 2013, seven Cirque du Soleil productions will become one for ONE DROP, the non-profit organization established by Cirque du Soleil Founder Guy Laliberte.  ONE DROP has partnered with MGM Resorts International and Lamborghini to present One Night for ONE DROP, a global philanthropy event to raise funds and awareness to ensure water is accessible across the globe.

Tickets for One Night for ONE DROP are available at

The evening will feature more than 230 artists from the seven Las Vegas Cirque du Soleil productions in a once-in-a-lifetime performance Friday, March 22, 2013, at the "O" Theatre at Bellagio.

Special guests, including platinum-selling recording artist Jackie Evancho and performance painter David Garibaldi, will perform alongside the incredibly talented Cirque du Soleil casts. Victoria's Secret model Orluchi Orlandi will "walk the catwalk" wearing a gown designed by Roberto Cavalli specifically for this performance. A dance piece choreographed by Sonya Tayeh from "So You Think You Can Dance" and an original composition by award-winning composer Danny Elfman also will be a part of this extraordinary extravaganza created and directed by Krista Monson.

ONE DROP works to secure water access by implementing integrated and unique water projects around the world and to reverse the growing water crisis by raising awareness for water-related issues. Since its inception in 2007, ONE DROP has worked to provide access to clean, safe water for more than 300,000 people.

"One person dies every 20 seconds because they don't have access to clean water," said Laliberte. "It is one of our planet's most pressing, yet most addressable problems, if we focus the amount of attention and resources it deserves."

One Night for ONE DROP will celebrate the earth as an artistic creation and highlight water as the essence of life within the earth's ecosystem. All of the Cirque du Soleil shows on The Strip will close their doors, so the 1,700 employees including 500 artists, can collaboratively participate in this once-in-a-lifetime extravaganza.

Sponsorship packages and tickets for One Night for ONE DROP are available at Individual tickets are now available with prices from $150-$3,150.

Proceeds raised from One Night for ONE DROP will support the organization's worldwide critical clean water access and education programs and a portion of the proceeds raised this night will go to the Las Vegas Springs Preserve and its ongoing effort to support water conservation and sustainable living in the Las Vegas Valley.

Jim Murren, Chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts International, said, "For two decades, MGM Resorts and Cirque du Soleil have partnered to create productions that have redefined live entertainment. We look forward to doing that once again with One Night for ONE DROP and in doing so are proud to support the mission of Guy's remarkable organization."

Murren joins Honorary Chair, Prince Albert II of Monaco, along with Oscar-winning film director and writer James Cameron, Cirque du Soleil President and CEO Daniel Lamarre and Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Tom Staggs, as event committee co-chairmen.

One Night for ONE DROP will culminate a week-long effort for the charity by Cirque du Soleil, MGM Resorts International and Treasure Island. During that week, each show will donate one night's proceeds to One DROP. The week begins with the Run Away with Cirque du Soleil 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk with all proceeds supporting the Springs Preserve.
